Moorehall Living will be exhibiting at The Dementia Roadshow on Tuesday September 27th and invites you to join us.
The event takes place at The Marshes Shopping Centre in Dundalk between 10am and 2pm.
The roadshow will feature information on training and awareness programmes, local resources and vital support initiatives for carers, as well as interactive workshops and presentations by the Elevator Team and special guests.
The event, hosted by Louth Age Friendly County and the Dementia Elevator Programme, is aimed at removing stigmas surrounding dementia in our society, and with around 48,000 people living with dementia in Ireland, education is more important than ever.
Patricia McPartland of Dementia Elevator said: “Dementia is a complex and challenging condition that affects a person’s daily life in many ways – impacting on memory, the ability to process information, solve problems and communicate.”
She continued: “There continue to be many myths and misunderstandings about the condition with the focus remaining on what people cannot do rather than on what they can do.”
Mary Deery, Louth Age Friendly County Co-ordinator added: “The Roadshow will showcase local projects and supports and put people in touch with vital points of help and information that will make their lives easier.”
So we hope to see you in the Marshes on September 27th – we’ll have plenty of information on offer.
