This week, Moorehall Living was pleased to announce the opening of the first outreach office for Good Morning Louth in Ferdia house in Moorehall Lodge Retirement Village.
Good Morning Louth is a free, confidential telephone service for older people and offers personal daily contact to ensure people are safe and well in their home, as well as informing people of local services.
Calls are made by trained volunteers who provide regular contact on days and times that suit the recipient.
Developed by Pat Kerins and Ann Marron, there are now 53 volunteers at the Good Morning Louth centre at Seatown Dundalk, which was established in 2012.
Since its beginning, the service has grown to make calls to over 100 people every day, with that number set to grow following the opening of the Ardee office.
If you, or anyone you know, would like to receive calls from Good Morning Louth, call 042 933 0103. You can also call that number if you’re interested in becoming a volunteer.
